There’s always a story behind every great start. Our story began when local Korean churches in the states faced adversity named COVID-19, and brought many challenges, mainly financial issues.
For instance, research shows that 72% of churches have reduced offerings since they started online worship. It is also reported that 650 Korean immigrant churches closed in just two years, and that 108 Korean churches closed compared to 2019 during the pandemic. Currently, there are a total of 184 Korean churches in the LA area, which is a drop of about 37%. Small Local churches had to close without even having the opportunities to grow their churches. One of the main issues that small local churches had was that they could not find any resources or support from other churches to restart and restore their churches. While churches have the means to help families in need, they cannot deliver relief to many of their saints who are disadvantaged because they are not financially equipped to help others. And that is where we bridge comes in. Our goal is to bridge the gap and provide services including financial support and professional development to those who are in the ministry field.
